Pro Tips

• Position crown upside down and backwards in the mitre saw -- ceiling edge flat on the saw table, wall edge against the fence. This is the correct cutting position for compound mitres.
• For paint: apply directly -- no knot sealer needed. For stain: hemlock accepts stain evenly with a pre-stain conditioner. For clear finish: sand to 180-grit and apply water-based polyurethane or lacquer.
